Rehabilitation Services - Providing the Latest in Therapy
Our rehabilitation services take an interdisciplinary approach to patient care that is tailored to each individual. We use the latest techniques and modalities to get patients back to functioning as independently as possible, as quickly as possible.
We are CARF accredited, which is Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Accreditation. This accreditation is the highest level that can be awarded to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. As the only CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Program in the Evansville area, St. Mary's remains committed to improving the quality of life for the patients we serve.
CARF is an independent, non-profit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
Achieving accreditation means we met extensive standards of care, committed to quality improvement and placed our focus on the unique needs and results of services for each of the people we serve.
St. Mary’s has achieved CARF Accreditation in the following areas:

Convenient Locations for Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation
You can choose from several convenient locations to meet your rehabilitation therapy needs. St. Mary's offers two convenient outpatient rehabilitation facilities: Washington Square Mall and North Pointe. Inpatient therapy is done at the Rehabilitation Institute on St. Mary’s campus.
St. Mary's Rehab offers:
- Comprehensive inpatient services for pediatric patients, adolescents and adults who have significant functional deficits
- Outpatient services for either a single therapy or any combination of therapies at two locations
- More than 75 licensed professional therapy staff members
- Certified rehabilitation registered nurses
Our Rehab staff is specially-trained and holds certifications or credentials in specialty areas such as hand therapy, neurodevelopmental treatment, neuro rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, lymphadema management, manual therapy and wound care management.
