Meet Our Current Postdoctoral Fellow
Tim and Kay Flesch Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
Dr. Michelle Black is the pediatric psychology fellow for the 2014-2015 term. She works with the licensed providers at the St. Mary’s Center for Children to provide outpatient assessment and therapy, feeding therapy, integrative physician services, and inpatient consultation to children and families on the pediatric medical units. She is also involved in a number of didactic and research opportunities.
In addition to her primary responsibilities, Dr. Black works with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in a consultation and outreach capacity to students and their families. Specific responsibilities include collaborating with professionals through the inclusion autism spectrum classroom and other developmental classrooms at Culver Family Learning Center, and maintaining other consultative roles.
Dr. Michelle Black was raised in Owensville, Indiana and graduated with Honors and High Distinction from Indiana University with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Speech and Hearing Sciences, Sociology, and Human Development and Family Studies. She recently earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Indiana University and completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at Livingston County Special Services Unit in Pontiac, Illinois.
