The Sub-specialty Clinic at St. Mary's Center for Children is the only facility in the tri-state area that features expert pediatric sub-specialists from different major medical centers. We offer access to some of the best specialists in the country - right here in Evansville - so patients and their families can receive critical medical services close to home.
Children are seen at the Center for Children for a variety of reasons varying from a one-time consultation to treatments for acute, chronic or surgical conditions.

Neurodevelopment and Genetics - For the treatment and evaluation of children with birth defects, genetic disorders, autism and other developmental disorders. Children are treated by Joseph Hersh, MD.
Neurology - For the evaluation and treatment of children with seizures/epilepsy, neurological disorders, migraine headaches, Tourette Syndrome, tic disorders and muscle diseases. The Center for Children Pediatric Neurologist reads all pediatric EEG's for St. Mary's. Children are treated by Vinay Puri, MD.
Urology - For the evaluation and treatment of children with hydronephrosis (dilation or stretching of the area of kidneys where urine collects), urinary reflux, recurrent urinary tract infections, bedwetting and genital abnormalities. Antenatal patients are also seen. Children are treated by Todd Renschler, MD; Richard Rink, MD, and Bill Samm, MD.
Pulmonology - For the treatment and evaluation of children with asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease and trach dependency. Pulmonary Function Tests are performed by an on-site Respiratory Therapist. Children are treated by Ronald Morton, MD.
Gastroenterology - For the treatment and evaluation of children with reflux, constipation, inflammatory bowel disease and malabsorption syndromes. Children are treated by Rebecca Carey, MD.
Sleep Medicine - For the evaluation and treatment of children with obstructive sleep apnea, central apnea and other sleep disorders. On-site sleep studies are performed. Children are treated by David Gozal, MD.
