The clinic provides management, monitoring and education services for OVHC patients taking Coumadin®, a medication that can help prevent and treat blood clots in the legs and lungs, and clots associated with heart valve replacement or an irregular, rapid heartbeat called atrial fibrillation. This medication has proven effective in preventing heart attacks, strokes, and blood clots in veins and arteries.
The OVHC Anti-Coagulation Clinic promotes a consultative relationship among its patients and OVHC physician.
