Patient Care Technician
If you are a student enrolled in a nursing program but have not entered your first semester of clinical, the PCT role may be for you.  You must be available for the entire PCT class in order to be considered for a position. 

Student Nurse Extern Program
If you are a student nurse and have completed one semester of a nursing clinical rotation, you may qualify to work with us as a Student Nurse Extern.  Externs have lots of opportunity to put their classroom knowledge to work in caring for patients and working within a nurse-supervised team.  Schedules are flexible and individualized.

Student Nurse Intern Program
Successful Student Nurse Externs can promote to Student Nurse Interns. Student Nurse Interns are eligible to receive paid precepted hours with a RN. Schedules are flexible and are mutually agreed upon by the student and nurse mentor. Intern positions are available in August and December in the student's final year prior to board eligibility.

Nurse Residency Program
All nurses who have graduated and are in the first months of employment after course work is completed are considered Nurse Residents.  During this time the nurse completes orientation and passes the State Board Examination.  Participants attend educational sessions and complete clinical observation rotations that prepare residents for a well-rounded transition into the registered nurse role.  The residents also participate in St. Mary's Mentoring program and have an RN mentor for their first year to help acclimate the new RN's to their role and the organization.
