Patient Care Technician
Students enrolled in a nursing program but have not entered their first semester of clinical may be considered for a Patient Care Technician position. Candidates must be available for the entire PCT orientation class in order to be considered.
Student Nurse Extern Program
Student nurses who have completed one semester of a nursing clinical rotation qualify for the role of a Student Nurse Extern. Externs have opportunity to use their classroom and clinical knowledge in caring for patients and working within a nurse-supervised team.
Schedules are flexible and individualized.
Summer Student Nurse Program
The Summer Student Nurse Program is designed to increase the clinical competence and confidence of nursing students entering their final pre-licensure year. The experience achieved through this program helps improve nursing skills, competency, & determine specialty preferences. Highlights include 1:1 precepted time with RN’s, educational programs, and specialty tract options.
This competitive program has a limited number of positions available.
Student Nurse Intern Program
Successful Student Nurse Externs have the opportunity to become Student Nurse Interns. Student Nurse Interns are eligible to receive precepted hours with a RN. Intern positions are available during the student’s final year of school prior to board eligibility. Schedules are flexible and individualized.
Nurse Residency Program
Nurses who have graduated, but have not yet passed their State Board Examination, are considered Nurse Residents. During this time the nurse begins orientation to the RN role. Nurse Residents attend educational sessions and complete clinical observation rotations that prepare residents for a well-rounded transition into the registered nurse role.
