St. Mary's Offers Specialized Mental Health Treatment

St. Mary's Medical Center offers specialized treatment in mental health for adults age 18 and older, as well as electroconvulsive therapy. The Mental Health Services are located in the Rehabilitation Institute on St. Mary's campus. All hospital services including lab, pharmacy, radiology, dietary, and chaplains are available to our mental health patients.

The specialized treatment on the Adult Mental Health Unit provides unique services for adults who need short-term inpatient treatment for the acute phase of a psychiatric illness.

Treatment is provided around the clock by experienced psychiatrists, mental health nurses, technicians, social workers and therapists. The unit is designed to provide a safe and therapeutic environment that allows for patients to maintain their dignity while in the acute phase of a mental illness.

Patients are able to benefit from individual and group psychotherapy, educational groups, therapeutic recreation and spirituality groups.
