Healthy Lives Fitness Center

St. Vincent is pleased to offer FREE MEMBERSHIP to our Healthy Lives Fitness Center to all St. Vincent associates and those associates connected with us through Medxcel, Touchpoint, AIS, TriMedx, Mission Point and MACL.

The Healthy Lives Fitness Center is a space dedicated to the health and wellness of our associates and their families and is open only to staff and their immediate family members.

Membership Rates

Membership Rates for Associates and their Immediate Family Members:

Children must be at least 14 years old or older, must be the associate’s dependant and a full-time student. A physician's referral is required for all children under 16 years old and a parent or legal guardian must accompany children under the age of 18 at all times.

A membership card will be issued to new members following a safety orientation to the Fitness Center. This card will allow associates and family members 24-7 access to our facility.

Fitness Center Features and Equipment

  • Free weight area
  • Cybex strength equipment
  • Kettle Bells, stability balls, medicine balls, BOSU, bands and tubes
  • Cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, Airdyne bikes, recumbent bikes, elliptical trainers, Steppers, Nu-step, Stairmaster, and Total Body Arc Trainer.
  • Group exercise classes
  • Locker room and shower

Fitness Center Group Class Descriptions

Light Aerobics – 45 minutes

This class is designed for beginners to intermediate exercises. This class incorporates a full body workout at a low impact and incorporates the chair for modification of exercises. Aerobic movements paired with strength and toning will have you in a sweat by the end of the class.

Zumba – 60 minutes

The Latin dance craze that seems more like a dance party than a work out! Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness –cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. This class is designed for all levels of fitness

Strength – 45 minutes

This class is designed for intermediate to advanced exercises but anyone is encouraged to join at your own level and work your way up. This 45-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls to leave your body feeling stronger and more toned.

Yoga – 60 minutes

Rejuvenate your spirit and tone your body with yoga practice. This class is designed for all fitness levels from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. This class focuses on toning, strengthening, and balance to give you a full body workout while in a relaxing setting to help melt away daily stressors.

Cycle Express – 30 minutes

All fitness levels are invited to join this high intensity aerobic workout. Work on endurance, stamina, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness all packed into a 30 minute lunch time session! Be ready to sweat and come prepared with a water bottle to rehydrate.

Lunch and Burn – 25 minutes

A quick total body workout! This class is designed for those of us who are always on the go. Squeeze an entire body workout into your lunch schedule. While incorporating all body weight exercises in a circuit style routine this class is sure to make you sweat and get the most “burn for your buck”.

Inclement Weather Policy for Group Fitness

In case of inclement weather please refer to the following information:

  • Classes taught by a YMCA instructor will still occur as scheduled.
  • Classes taught by the Healthy Lives Staff:
    • Classes before 11:00 a.m. will be cancelled if EVSC is closed or delayed.
    • For classes 11:00 a.m. and after, please call Healthy Lives before 10:30 a.m. if EVSC is closed. If you do not hear back from HL staff before 11:00 a.m., the class is cancelled. Phone number is 812-485-4110.
