I Was Truly Blessed
I was at St. Marys for a scheduled c-section. This was my second c-section in 12 years so I already had an idea what to expect, but I was beyond nervous!
About a week prior to my surgery I had to do some testing in Labor & Delivery due to some elevated blood pressure issues. My nurse that morning was Holly and she couldn't have been any nicer! I was hoping she was going to be my nurse, but I didn't see her right away. About the time I was getting ready to be carted off to surgery, there she was!
I was so relieved when I asked her if she was coming to surgery since she was in hair net and etc and she said "yes." It felt like I had a friendly face to be with me. When I was getting my spinal I was so nervous I could cry! I remembered asking her if I could hold her (I put my arm around her's to calm me down even though she probably didn't know how scared I was.) That simple little gesture from her I will truly never forget.
Dr. Schroeder and Dr. Melton were the doctors who performed my c-section. Dr. Schroeder was my OB the past 9 months. Could not have asked for a better physician! She is truly an amazing woman!
After surgery I was there for about four days and was treated with the uttermost kindest, warmest, friendliest and caring RN's and Techs you could imagine! I have forgotten some of the names but I filled out a STARS card on everyone that I could while there. Some of the names that I can remember off the top of my head are Sarah, Natalie, Terry, Elaine (from Nursery) and Ashley.
I apologize I can not recall everyone's name but I was truly blessed not only by having a healthy baby boy, but from the care I received from EVERYONE!!! This is from the sweet ladies who bring the food to you, the nice girl from housekeeping and the lady who registered us at the front desk. St. Mary's is a wonderful facility and thank you for everything and for letting me share my wonderful experience with others.
