She Made It An Amazing Experience
I was admitted to the hospital when I was 21 weeks pregnant (due to being dilated 2 cm) and had to have an emergency cervical cerclage. I was a nervous wreck and knew that it was a very serious issue.
My nurse Kim, (I'm sorry, I don't remember her last name) was amazing to me. She held me through my spinal and the cerclage and never let go. She touched my heart and made me feel so safe. The whole staff was great to me. I made it to 36 weeks, when I was admitted and induced on December 15th.
Sandy was the nurse that evening and she was so sweet to me. Heather then took over and was such a sweet sweet nurse as well. I had a great experience with the whole staff. But I have to say that nurse Linda Baxter was an absolute blessing. I have never felt so welcome and comforted by someone I had just met. She took such good care of me and my new son. She coached me through pushing and praised me and made me feel so proud. She was sooo funny too, which is so nice to have around. She goofed off with my family and yet was so professional at the same time. I have just never met someone who was so caring and giving and I just can't put into words how she made me feel. Having my first baby was so scary and she just made it an amazing experience.
I will continue to go to St. Mary's for anything I will ever need. Thank you all for being so great and caring. It means more to us patients than you'll ever know!!!!
