My Family Is Forever Grateful
I had a normal first pregnancy. My husband and I moved across the country when I was about 5 months pregnant. I was nervous with the move and had issues with trying to decide where I wanted to deliver and get my prenatal care going again.
I called St. Mary's first and had the best service over the phone that anyone could ask for. I got assigned to Dr. Heather Schroeder. Her nurse Brandy is the sweetest thing. So, as first babies normally go, I overshot my due date and labor had to be induced. The nurses that took care of me and my husband that night were absolutely amazing. Always making sure we were okay and all of our questions were answered.
After about 17 hours of labor, I began to push, my nurses and Dr. Schroeder were there making my counts and making it feel more like family delivery versus this super sterile environment. Although I had to have a C-section in the end, I would not change the experience for anything. My postpartum nurses were angels making sure I had beverages and asking what my pain levels were.
The Birthday party is the best idea. The Lactation Department was amazing with all of the questions and awkward and painful first days.
Even now, My daughter is seen at St. Mary's by the doctor who was on call when she was delivered. My family is forever grateful to the staff at St. Mary's.
