In Our Hearts Forever
I was hospitalized at 33 weeks for complications. I ended up having Drew at 34 weeks.
Our experience at St. Mary's was unbelieveable to say the least. While on bedrest there for 8 days, my care was superior. The nurses went above and beyond anything I would have ever expected. We had our four year old daughter there a lot of the time and they were so kind to her. Once things fell apart and I was scheduled for an emergency C-section, our nurse Brandy couldn't have been more compassionate or caring.
Drew was transported to the NICU immediately after delivery and the NICU doctors and nurses took wonderful care of him. They kept us well informed of our son's condition and what we could expect. I called all hours of the day and night to check on him and the nurses were always so kind and able to answer any question I had. I was never made to feel as if I was a bother.
We were able to bring Drew home on Christmas Eve and the staff was able to give us the best present we will ever receive. I believe that my son and I are here today - all thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Mary's. We will hold all of those that cared for myself and Drew in our hearts forever...
