I Love This Hospital
Being in premature labor for over a week was so different than what I had planned for the delivery of my daughter. Being transferred to St. Mary's in Evansville, I believe is what saved my daughter's life.
We arrived at 10:30 in the morning. Within 2 hours I was in the Operating Room having a C-section. My baby had completely stopped moving. I was scared and nervous but the nurse I had helped calm my fears...she asked me questions on what I was going to name my baby, if I thought she was going to have hair...she really helped me overcome my fears. At 12:20 p.m. my daughter was born. She didn't cry and was blue...the nurses and pediatricians helped to get a cry from her assuring me she was okay.
She spent 9 days in the NICU and the NICU nurses treated those babies like they were their own -- always holding, rocking and cuddling them. I felt so good being able to trust my baby with such strangers. No one will ever know how much I love them...and the worst thing is I don't know who they are. I love this hospital and if I ever have another child, I don't care how far away I live, I will be at the hospital with those nice people.
Thank you so much St. Mary's!
