St. Mary's Wins Critical Care Challenge 05/04/2009
St. Mary’s is very proud to announce the win of the 18th Annual Critical Care Challenge held Thursday night (April 16) in the Manor Auditorium on the St. Mary's campus. St. Mary’s defeated three other regional hospitals to capture the prestigious trophy. Henderson Community College finished on top among area schools of nursing.
The Critical Care Challenge is sponsored by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is an opportunity for area hospitals and schools of nursing to demonstrate their knowledge in the critical care arena. Each hospital and school forms teams of six people, who then compete to answer the most questions correctly. The winning team gets to display the traveling trophy.
“Winning the Critical Care Challenge is a huge honor,” says Becky Abell, RN, BSN, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses Greater Evansville Chapter President. “St. Mary’s victory verifies knowledge pertaining to critical care. It also demonstrates dedication to nursing excellence in serving the Tri-State. Every team and hospital that competed shares this same dedication.”
