Pediatric Sleep Test Hook-Ups

Pediatric Sleep Test Hook-Ups

St. Mary's can conduct sleep disorders testing on infants and children. (left) Tiffany F., a one year old from Evansville, undergoes a sleep study in the St. Mary's Newborn Intensive Care Unit.

(right) The gauze around Tiffany's head keeps the electrode wires in place for the 6-8 hour sleep test.  The blue cannula in her nose and the blue belts on her chest measure her breathing.

The signals from the belts on her chest and the sensors underneath her nose help determine sleep disordered breathing.
