St. Mary's is proud to have two distinguished Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians providing the highest standard of care for our patients.
Dr. Mureena Turnquest Wells has been with St. Mary's Hosptial for Women & Children since 2001 and brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the Tri-State area. She obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Memphis, and completed medical school and residency training at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Turnquest Wells served as clinical assistant professor in the Department of OB/GYN - Maternal Fetal Medicine Division at IU Medical Center for eight years. She has publications in several peer review journals and is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker on topics in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr. Turnquest Wells is board certfied in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Luissa Kiprono recently joined Dr. Turnquest Wells at St. Mary's Hospital for Women and Children. She earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Dr. Kiprono completed her residency at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and her fellowship at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Our warm and caring staff also consists of a board certified genetic counselor, receptionists, clinical nurses, and RDMS certified sonographers. Our goal is to provide our patients with a warm and comfortable setting that will offer comfort and peace of mind during what may be an extremely stressful time.
