People living with bipolar disorder have a serious but treatable condition. Getting early diagnosis and specific treatments can be very difficult, especially with children. Thanks to an extraordinary act of generosity, St. Mary's is providing opportunities for education, networking, and services for people living with bipolar disorder.
Twenty percent of St. Mary's inpatient mental health services suffer from bipolar disorder. In addition, ten percent of the children utilizing the children's psychologist services in the St. Mary's Center for Children are exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder.
