An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality. St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Institute has achieved CARF accreditation since 1986.

About St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Institute

Located on St. Mary’s campus, St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Institute provides acute medical and comprehensive rehabilitative services in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Our on-campus location allows the rehabilitation patient to benefit from the entire scope of acute care services available at St. Mary’s, including specialist consults and any additional diagnostic testing that may need to continue during the rehabilitation phase of care.

About St. Mary’s Pediatric Rehabilitation Services

In collaboration with St. Mary’s Rehabilitation Institute, St. Mary’s Hospital for Women & Children offers an acute inpatient pediatric rehabilitation program on the Pediatric Unit. Children ages 15 and younger are assessed to determine which inpatient rehabilitation location – Pediatrics or the Rehabilitation Institute – best meet the patient/family needs for rehabilitation. The pediatric program is designed to meet the needs of pediatric patients who have, or may have temporary or permanent disabilities. It allows children who need rehabilitation services to remain close to home and family – allowing for less disruption in the daily activities of parents.
