Volunteers - Generously Supporting St. Mary's Patients and Services
St. Mary's Volunteers are a gift to our healing Mission and a generous witness to the people served by their kindness and generosity. Our volunteers serve a variety of roles, from delivering patient mail to giving directions at the Information Desk to stuffing envelopes or doing other clerical duties. There is no set job description other than a willingness to use your gifts to support St. Mary's patients and services.
St. Mary's Auxiliary members make up 52% of our active volunteer workforce. Not only do Auxiliary members volunteer hundreds of hours annually, they also raise money through various fundraisers and proceeds from the Gift Shoppe.
Some of the Auxiliary's events include:
- Style Show (every other year)
- Christmas Tea
- Election Dessert
- Fundraising Sales
- Annual Meeting/Scholarship Presentations
- Mass and Breakfast with Bishop Gettlefinger
Projects supported by the Auxiliary include:
- Annual Achievement Award Scholarship
- Trauma Services - Simulation Baby
- Journey to Magnet Status (a national program promoting nursing excellence)
- Diabetic Foot Clinic
- Intensive Care Unit Waiting Room refurbished with new furniture
